First Aid Course Duration

All our first aid courses have been streamlined to deliver maximum efficiency.  The Provide first aid course is a six-hour classroom-based course which includes lots of hands-on practical training and built-in assessments. Successful course completion will require participants to undertake a two-minute CPR demonstration on the floor using a manikin.

No Online Workbook or E-learning Required

To help make learning smooth, easy and stress-free we do not require participants to undertake any online testing prior to the course.  However, there is a compulsory pre-course reading requirement and this will be accompanied by a short quiz.  The reading can be done at your own pace and the quiz can be filled out whilst you are reading through the study material but must be submitted on the day of training.  The time is taken to complete the quiz often varies based on an individual’s prior learning and knowledge.

First Aid Certificate

All candidates who successfully complete ‘Provide first aid’ will be issued with the following certifications – HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation covering AED,  HLTAID002 Provide basic emergency life Support & HLTAID003 Provide first aid.  Digital certificates are issued via email and will be sent on the same day or within 24 hours of completing the course.  Paper copies of the certificates are available to order and cost $12.00 each including postage.

In order to issue your certification, you must submit your pre-course reading quiz on the day of the training and we need to have received your USI (unique student identifier) number 24 hours prior to course commencement.

USI Requirements

All students undertaking a nationally recognised VET training program need to have a USI (unique student identifier number).  If you have undertaken any vocational training since Jan 2015 it is likely you already have a USI number. The USI number enables the government to keep a secure an online record of all your learning so it is easily accessible in the one place.
