First Aid Pro Adelaide provide nationally accredited, high quality, first aid training programs tailored to the childcare and education sector at locations across Adelaide. Our Childcare First Aid program builds on the benchmark HLTAID003 Provide first aid course and include in-depth training on asthma and anaphylaxis management as they are essential first aid skills needed in an education and childcare setting.
Ideal for childcare, Kindergarten, OHSC and daycare staff our Childcare First Aid course is approved by ACECQA as appropriate training in First Aid, asthma and anaphylaxis and students will gain the following certifications:

Childcare First Aid is a thorough 6.5-hour course with plenty of practical demonstrations and hands-on experience. To successfully complete the course all candidates are required to perform a 2-minute CPR demonstration using a manikin at floor level.
To keep stress levels to a minimum there is no online testing prior to the course. However, you will be required to undertake some mandatory pre-course reading which is accompanied by a short quiz. The quiz can be completed whilst undertaking the reading and needs to be submitted on the day of training. The time is taken to complete the quiz often varies depending on the individual’s prior knowledge, experience and learning.
As part of our dedication to providing high-quality first aid training, we make every effort to issue candidates with their course certification on the day of the training. However, in order to do this, you need to provide your USI (Unique Student Identifier) number to us for verification at least 24 hours before the course commences. All certificates are issued digitally via email but if required, paper copies are available to order at a cost of $12.00 each.
A USI (unique student identifier) the number is now a mandatory requirement for any student wishing to undertake vocational training. A USI number is unique to you and provided by the government to keep a secure online record of your VET certifications. You can look up your number or register for a USI number quickly and easily by clicking on the following link: https://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-usi.
First Aid Pro Adelaide’s HLTAID004 – Childcare First Aid Course qualifies for 6.5 hours of continued professional development (CPD) and is fully endorsed by the ACN (Australian College of Nursing).
